Closing Night with an aperitif and a concert by Anouchka Gwen
Ísis and Lourenzo, a Brazilian trans couple, are expecting their first child and are documenting their journey to parenthood through their unique visual and auditory cinematic language. A poetic and creative documentary about the search for respectful prenatal care, a means of livelihood, and a queer perspective on family.
Yv Nay (Humboldt University of Berlin), Kaue F. N. Crima Bellini (University of Basel), and Serena O. Dankwa (University of Basel) will discuss trans parenthood, reproductive justice, transphobia, and how care and medical services can be structured beyond normative notions of gender and family. The film and discussion will be held in English.
